The sad news has been received of the death of Mrs. Fred Stebbins which occurred at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home in Waveland.  Her demise was due to peritonitis after a short illness.  Mr. and Mrs. Stebbins had the management of the Shades Hotel for several years, during which time they made many warm friends in Crawfordsville.  Mrs. Stebbins was a generous friend, a devoted wife and mother and consistent Christian. The funeral concurred at Waveland Thursday afternoon - typed by kbz

Mrs. Stebbins died Wednesday morning after three weeks’ of painful illness. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. McKee at the home Thursday at 2 o’clock. She leaves a husband and two children and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. -s
